Simple inexpensive changes can make the most impact.

BEFORE: ...desk at the end of the bed is too big and items all over the end tables and bureau and pet bed at the right of the bed on the floor.

AFTER: Remove the desk and replace with a lower chest, clear the items on the tops of bureaus and end tables. Remove bed on the floor and put it someplace else and add a plant and it looks so much more inviting.

Clue when staging a home is make it clean looking, no more than two colors...and neat.

The buyers want to stand in a room and think of themselves in the same room. If there are personal items in the room, the buyers will look at them instead of the size of the room and how clean it is. And don't forget to clean the ceiling fan blades.

Want to bring in some color? Add two or three pillows in solid color and match the valance or curtains with the color. Add a throw to the bottom of the bed in the same color. Add a couple of scented colors in a color. Small items make the most impact.
